We mainly look after cats and dogs, but will consider boarding any farm animals or small pets at our location. Our dog runs are around 600 square feet each. Sometimes it is best for pets to remain at their home so we will also consider in-home pet care and mid-day dog walking at your location. This means we travel to your home to care for your pets. We can also bring in the mail, take out the trash, rotate the lights and open and close the curtains to give the home a lived-in look -- just let us know your needs.
We are located in Squaw [Yokuts] Valley and for the safety of victims of domestic violence we don't publish our address on the Internet but disclose it after an appointment is set up. Victims of domestic violence often feel they can't leave an abusive relationship out of fear that their pet will be retaliated against.
Of course, we welcome a meet and greet, by appointment only. We often encourage owners to bring their pets here more than once (no charge) before a long trip. That way your pet will already know us and they'll see it as a routine visit, rather than fear they've been abandoned.
Since we operate on a very small scale, in a home environment, your pet doesn't have to be around many animals, often confined in a small noisy space and possibly exposed to kennel illnesses.
Whereas, we can devote ourselves to a very small number of pets and will do our best to mirror their unique home routine as far as schedules, diets and treatments a big commercial facility wouldn't have time for.
We also don't tack on extra fees nor have strict pick up schedules, etc.. For us, animal care isn't a job but who we are.
As a Private Member's Association, we do not feel it's our place to ask about vaccination status and we fear pets are often over-vaccinated and urge owners to look up the subject of "Pet Over-Vaccination". This Veterinarian's testimony brings up many risks to your pet, which can include death:

We also know someone close to us that recently had to give up four healthy cats. She found homes for two, but two had to go to a shelter. The shelter vaccinated these two cats. One of them died the same day and the second the next day. Her other unvaccinated two are still alive and well to this day.
Also, animals are safer from diseases with us because of the very low number of pets at any time and the huge space they have to themselves. We try to recreate a pet's home and natural environment and not one of a kennel or public dog park.
